Stronger security for your Greens account

Add an extra layer of security by enabling
Multi-factor Authentication
for your Greens account and protect you and your data.

It's easier than you think for someone to steal your password

Any of these common actions can lead to your password being stolen:

  • Using the same password on more than one website
  • Downloading software from the Internet
  • Clicking on links in emails you receive

Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) is designed to give you extra protection, even if someone knows your password.

Online privacy matters

It's important we hold ourselves to the same standards we champion. Making our systems more secure is a shared responsibility to ourselves, the party and to the people who share their information with us.

Signing in to your Greens account will work a little differently

  • You'll enter your password
  • You'll then be asked to enter a 6 digit code

In this way you are using multiple factors to prove your identity.

The 6 digit code is unique to your account. It even changes every 30 seconds. Using an app on your mobile phone, you keep track of the code.

Even if someone steals your password, without the code they can't login.

Setting up MFA involves a few simple steps

  1. Download an MFA app on your mobile phone. We recommend one of:
  2. Click the Get Started button above
  3. Login with your Greens credentials
  4. Use your MFA app to take a photo of the QR code
  5. Enter the six digit code from your MFA app in the field below the QR code
  6. Write down, or copy/paste your recovery code somewhere safe
  7. Tick the checkbox and click the arrow to finish up

Once done, you'll see a short message confirming MFA is now active on your account. You can now log out and everything is good to go.
